List of players with 10,000 runs in Test cricket: Steve Smith becomes 4th Australian to join club

Steve Smith on Wednesday became the 15th player to complete 10,000 runs in Test cricker during Australia’s 1st Test match against Sri Lanka in Galle.

The interim Australia captain is the fourth from his country to cross the milestone after Alan Border, Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting.

Sachin Tendulkar remains the highest scorer in Tests at 15,921 runs. Among active players, Joe Root leads at 12,972 runs.
