
Varun Chakravarthy picked up his second career five-wicket haul in the third T20I between India and England at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday.
Chakaravarthy ran through the England middle order, leaving the side reeling at 127 for eight in the 16th over. He claimed the wickets of Jos Buttler, Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, Brydon Carse and Jofra Archer.
England finished its innings at 171 for nine with Liam Livingstone scoring 43 runs off 24 deliveries.
Chakaravarthy becomes only the third Indian to pick up multiple five-wicket hauls in T20Is after Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav. Bhuvneshwar and Kuldeep have two fifers each.
His previous haul came against South Africa in Gqeberha in November 2024 where he picked five wickets for 17 runs.
