Madhya Pradesh registers its highest score in Ranji Trophy history

Madhya Pradesh registered its highest team total in Ranji Trophy history during the match against Uttar Pradesh at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Friday.

MP went past its previous best total of 619 for eight declared against Saurashtra at the same ground in the 2013/14 season. It came close to breaking this record in November 2024 when the team amassed 616 before being bowled out against Bihar.

For MP, opener Harsh Gawali scored 258 runs off 387 balls while captain Shubham Sharma made 208 off 280 balls. The duo added 373 runs for the second wicket in 542 deliveries – the highest second-wicket partnership for MP in the Ranji Trophy.
