Himanshu Sangwan becomes ninth pacer to get Virat Kohli bowled in First-Class cricket

Himanshu Sangwan became only the ninth fast bowler to get Virat Kohli bowled in a First-Class match during Delhi vs Railways Ranji Trophy match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday.

In the 28th over of the innings, Kohli was dismissed for six off 15 balls, losing his off-stump to right-arm pacer Sangwan. Just off the previous ball, Kohli had smashed the bowler for a boundary down the ground. However, Kohli perished attempting a similar shot as the ball swung into him more than it had in the previous delivery.

It is not often that a quick bowler gets through Kohli’s defence to clean him up with the red ball. The last time Kohli got out bowled was in 2022 by England pacer Mathew Potts. In total, Kohli has only been dismissed bowled 24 times in his FC career.
