Mitchell Marsh ruled out of Champions Trophy

Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy due to persistent lower back pain and dysfunction.

The National Selection Panel (NSP) and the Australian men’s medical team made the decision after Marsh’s injury failed to respond adequately to rehabilitation. His back pain has worsened in recent weeks, prompting a long-term approach to ensure a full recovery.

Marsh will now undergo an extended period of rest and rehabilitation as part of his return-to-play plan. The selectors will meet soon to determine his replacement.

The final squad submission deadline for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy is Wednesday, February 12.
